Is your family indecisive when it comes to choosing weekly dinners? Are they unmotivated to assist in the kitchen?
Don’t worry Dinner Winner is here to help!
This app was created in response to a real life user problem from Dad, who felt that his family weren’t engaging in the planning of weekly meals and he was worried that by leaving the decision up to him, he was compromising their autonomy.
By creating a friendly competition, those who were apathetic to the meal planning process are now engaged and motivated to help out in the kitchen.

The client and subject of this app was my Dad and, therefore, I was part of the dinner planning problem.

As mentioned above, Dad was having trouble getting his family to participate in planning weekly meals. Because of this he felt that he was only cooking meals he enjoyed, which didn't make him feel like an attentive dad.

To solve Dad's issue, I began by getting to the root of his problem using ethnographic research techniques and conducting regular user testing with him. This meant that the app was perfectly tailored to fit Dad's needs as well as the family's. They were all very upset that I wasn't an app developer and couldn't legitimately make the app.
